Privacy policy

Last updated 2 May 2026.

This policy describes how Grippen ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information submitted through grippen.com.au. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Through the early-access form on this site we collect: your name, email address, the company or venue you operate or work at, your role, and any free-text message you choose to send us. We do not collect any other personal information from visitors who do not submit the form.

Why we collect it

We use the information you provide solely to:

What we don't do

How it's stored

Form submissions are received via Netlify Forms (Netlify is our hosting provider; their privacy policy covers their handling). Submissions are forwarded to a Grippen-controlled email address and retained for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and tracking the early-access list.

Grippen Logbook data

The Grippen Logbook web application (app.grippen.com.au) is a local-first utility. Customer names, contact details, signatures, photos, timestamps, and GPS coordinates captured within the Logbook are stored locally on the installer's device using browser IndexedDB storage. This data is compiled into a PDF on-device.

Grippen does not collect, store, or transmit Logbook customer data to our servers. The installer chooses whether to share the generated PDF via their phone's native share sheet (email, AirDrop, messages) or download it to their archive. No automatic transmission occurs.

For full compliance detail under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Logbook complies with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) through its local-first architecture: no third-party data sharing, no marketing use, no remote storage of personal information.

Cookies & analytics

This site does not set any first-party cookies and does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or comparable trackers. The hosting provider may set technical cookies necessary to deliver the site (e.g. a load-balancing cookie); these contain no personal data.
